Aronia Bethea Jr. passed away on November 13, 2018 at the age of 76. He was the son of James Bethea, Sr., and Margaret Wright Bethea. His mother, Evangelist Bertha Bethea, predeceased him. His father was a retired employee at the Marlboro Electric Cooperative in Bennettsville. Bethea was a member of the Old Galilee United Methodist Church in Bennettsville, NC. The family was very close. He had a brother and a sister who lived in Bennettsville.
